All media content bought from iTunes is locked down by Fairplay (Apple’s DRM scheme). ![]() It’s a questionable technique that some vendors (especially Apple) use to restrict the platforms in which the media purchased from them can be used. But why does this happen? DRM Protected ContentĭRM stands for Digital Rights Management. Have you tried to watch it on an Android device, push it to a media server or send it to your Smart TV? Regardless of the platform that you want to watch it on, it won’t work on anything that isn’t made by Apple.
